On August 2, the grand opening ceremony of the passenger ships LIGHTNING 68-6 and LIGHTNING 68-8was organized by Bien Son Comercial Shipping Service Joint Stock Company. LIGHTNING 68 is a specialized twin-hull passenger ship made of aluminum alloy with a maximum length of 34.09m and a super-wide passenger compartment, accommodating up to 242 passengers, modern interior, and a maximum speed of up to 33 nautical miles/hour.

LIGHTNING 68 is equipped with 02 Baudouin 16M33C2100-18E211 engines, each with capacity: 2100 HP, rotation speed: 1800 RPM and installed with 02 Weichai 120 kW generators; LIGHTNING 68 operates the Rach Gia - Phu Quoc, Rach Gia - Nam Du and Rach Gia - Hon Son routes, Kien Hai district.

It is expected that in the near future, 4 more ships equipped with Baudouin 16M33 engines will be put into operation to meet the increasing demand of customers, contributing to improving the quality of services in the marine tourism industry.
