The Asian Data Center 2026 was held from September 29–30, 2026, at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, bringing together leading companies in the data center, technology, and energy sectors. At the exhibition, Baudouin, a brand under Weichai, showcased a comprehensive portfolio of power and energy solutions for data centers, focusing on three key themes: reliable power, integrated systems, and low-carbon energy. The event also provided an opportunity for Baudouin to present its latest technologies and demonstrate its capabilities in meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of the data center market in the AI era.

One of the key highlights of the exhibition was the ceremony celebrating Baudouin’s milestone of 5,000 generator sets installed worldwide for data center applications. The 5,000-unit milestone represents more than just a significant achievement in scale. It reflects Baudouin’s expanding presence in the global data center market and the growing trust of customers in Weichai and Baudouin’s power solutions.
As data centers become increasingly critical to the digital economy, backup power systems are facing more demanding requirements. In particular, the rapid growth of AI and high-performance computing clusters is driving new needs for fast transient load response, high reliability, energy efficiency, and lower emissions. In response to these trends, Weichai continues to develop high-power engine platforms, with the M33 and M55 series being widely deployed in data center applications.

At Asian Data Center 2026, Baudouin showcased three power generation products based on the M55 platform, featuring multi-fuel capabilities ranging from diesel to natural gas to meet diverse customer requirements. From standard generator sets to containerized integrated solutions, the M55 platform is optimized for power output, load response, and fuel efficiency, making it suitable for a wide range of data center applications, from large-scale facilities to hyperscale data centers. With flexible configurations, Baudouin provides customers with more options for building reliable backup power systems while addressing the growing demand for rapid deployment and operational flexibility.

Alongside conventional engine-based solutions, Weichai’s Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) technology also attracted considerable attention at the exhibition. SOFC technology offers a range of advantages, including high efficiency, stable operation, low noise, multi-fuel compatibility, reduced emissions, and rapid deployment. These characteristics make it particularly promising for applications requiring reliable and continuous power, such as data centers, distributed power generation, and next-generation energy systems. The simultaneous showcase of high-power engine solutions and SOFC technology highlights Weichai’s commitment to developing a diversified energy solution portfolio, addressing both the current demand for reliable power and the global transition toward cleaner energy.
From the 5,000-unit milestone and high-power M33/M55 platforms to SOFC technology, Weichai and Baudouin continue to expand their portfolio of energy solutions for the global data center market.Driven by continuous technological innovation, Weichai and Baudouin will continue to develop more efficient, flexible, and sustainable power products and solutions, supporting customers in building the next generation of data centers worldwide.
