The 17th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Materials Machinery, and Mining Machinery Exhibition & Technical Exchange (BICES 2025) is being held in Beijing from September 23 to September 25, 2025, with the participation of many leading brands in the industry.
In particular, Weichai unveiled its new 12M25 diesel engine, the latest member of the M-series, with a maximum output of 1,224 Ps and torque of 5,116 N·m. It can be equipped on 90–100 ton mining trucks and 165-ton excavators. This product marks a comprehensive breakthrough in reliability, performance, and economic efficiency, further completing the M-series lineup to better meet the domestic mining industry’s needs for efficient and independent operations.
In addition to diesel engines, Weichai also introduced green energy solutions: CTB batteries with a capacity of 300–1,200 kWh for pure electric equipment (excavators, mining trucks, loaders, etc.), methanol engines WP17T/WP19, and the WP16NG gas engine. The CTB battery adopts a unique layered modular design that reduces design costs and addresses limitations in assembly and maintenance. Currently, Weichai’s pure electric power systems have accumulated over one million hours of operation, helping customers cut operating costs by up to 66%.Weichai also launched integrated hybrid solutions combining diesel, gas, methanol, and battery power, offering a comprehensive pathway toward green and environmentally friendly mining development
