August 18, 2018, Weichai Power and Caterpillar (Qingzhou) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Qingzhou, Shandong province. Shandong Heavy Industry, Weichai Group's Chairman Tan Xuquang and Caterpillar Global's Vice President, Caterpillar (Qingzhou) Co., Ltd's Chairman Qihua Chen attended the signing ceremony.

Before the signing ceremony, Tan Xuguang had a friendly conversation with Ed O' Neil, Director of Global Operations of Caterpillar Earthmoving Division.

Qihua Chen said that Weichai Power and Caterpillar (Qingzhou) signed a strategic cooperation agreement, is a new milestone in cooperation between the two sides, which will further expand the existing cooperation between the two sides and even global cooperation opportunities.

Tan Xuquang said that Caterpillar is a very respectable enterprise, since 1991 cooperation, Weichai and Caterpillar have established deep feelings, hope that both sides in the new energy sector to strengthen strategic cooperation, and jointly promote social and economic development.
