Recently, the world's largest all-terrain crane developed by XCMG, powered by Weichai WP17 engine was used to install the largest onshore wind turbine in Shandong province, China.
XCA2600 the crane with a basic load capacity of 2,600 tonnes can lift a maximum weight of 173 tonnes to a maximum height of 160 meters. The XCA2600 is equipped with an independent suspension, doing 90% of wind turbine installations across China.
Powering this giant crane are 2 Weichai WP17 engines and Linde Hydraulics HPV135 hydraulic pump with strong power, low vibration, high working efficiency and reliability. Weichai WP17 engine has maximum capacity 566 kW and 3000 N.m maximum torque, widely used in heavy duty mining equipment, construction machinery and other fields. This engine serie currently accounts for 95% of the market share of lifting equipment in China, and is expected to be the most popular engine line in the Asian market in the near future.
